Congratulations all of you for your unprecedented political survival!

Which top 5 stocks would you recommend BUY,and why?

I had pulled out 50% of my investment and wish to plough it back in. Since there are now additional factors to consider,I wish to hear varied views from you.

Thank you.

When buying shares, ask yourself, would you buy the whole company?

For me it is EABL for sure. Last year they had a good year and this year will be better as Kenyan and East African celebrate. Anyway what better way to celebrate by buying your own product????

EABL- The new year has juz started, with the Annan deal. Pubs will now fill to capacity as Kenyans dust off  their political stress. Supply of the product will now be guaranteed as roads are safe

Bank stocks- BBK,KCB,Equity: high potential of doing even better

CMC- Transport mess on our roads is now gone. Normal biz to resume and new vehicle orders will trickle in . CMC Holdings is also diversified

KPLC- long term projection required

keep off the agricultural sector. and until the dollr strenthens further, the companies which derive most of their income in forein currency will be affected. eg KQ.

but KCB

KPLC long term because of the upgrade programme in place and remember its the stock trading with the highest par value the whole of NSE and have only 79m issued shares.

ARM

Equity: Five Stars (*****)
Stanchart,Four Stars (****)
Bamburi,Three stars (***)
Access Kenya Three stars (***)

More and more Equity. This stock is Gold, however you look at it. They are holding 22 billion in cash.
What does this mean?
With a 5 Billion  bond & 3 billion retained earnings Barclays can be able set up 81 branches
Equity has 22 billion and may be 2billion in retained earnings i.e 24 billion
I will bet on Equity 100%

Kcb and hfck are trading cum rights. Expect to make a minimum of 30% in three months time on these counters. Cmc has a potential. Most of the burnt down busses have to be replaced. It is a sure bet than agriculturals. Besides the price is at a discount. Expect a 20% rise in share price in two months time.access trading cum dividend. Good end year results. Just at discounted price too. Expect a 50% appreciation of share price in 12 months time.
