Kibaki might switch Karua with Mutula for the const & justice ministry,and give her the
PNU deputy PM,though issues with regional balancing may arise,
but keeping your friend close and your enemy closer is a job Karua can do to keep the PM
checked.

I think we've more or less reached the point of no return...
If PNU MPs decide to derail the whole process... they will face the wrath of Kenyans... as much as people are saying that the devil is in the details...
People claim that the PM has no powers... what does the function of supervision and coordination entail?
The PM has the capacity to bring his/her own agenda and further the different ministries implement it through supervision and coordination...
Plus being the Government Leader in Parliament,he/she will be answerable on issues that touch on Government and not the state.... In other words the PM is the Government Head....
The issue of consulting before firing a Minister will bring some order in dismisal of people... For instance,the President cannot fire a Ministers in the morning and name a new cabinet in the evening... Thats has reduced his powers soo much...
The sad thing is,yesterday BBC Radion was interviewing people on the street and some were saying the power deal isnt going to work... Sad!
Life is not a problem to solve,but an adventure to pursue...

As for the agreement,I hope it does not take us back to the 2003 -2005 wrangles.

Stop the bile against the VP,the VP remains the second most prestigious position in the Land,the only title he loses is the leader of government business-which is not really his constitutionally (go read) . anyway Kenya must move forward.
we should stop looking at the offices as people but as institutions. i.e. the Vice presidency not Kalonzo,the Premiership not Raila,the presidency not Kibaki. then and only then will we move forward.

The deal provides that the PM will coordinate and supervise Ministers,while Cabinet positions will be shared proportionally according to party strength in Parliament.
The President will have the authority to sack Cabinet members,but only with written agreement from leaders of the respective coalition party.
The Cabinet will comprise the President,the Vice-President,the Prime Minister,Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers.
The coalition will collapse at the end of the current Parliament,or if the parties so agree,or if one partner withdraws.

This is the best news to hear after sooo long..truly wish it cud be true,i honestly believe it is....our portfolios can make a come back and end the butterflies which were doing rounds in our stomachs.
As for Kalonzo,he can take a walk to political oblivion....he made a nasty decisions for his selfish ends ... i wish he had put kenya before himself......woe unto him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
