Celtel has just launched a new tarriff called the Pamoja tarriff. You get to choose three numbers which you can call at 4 Shs. All day and nights. Then for all other Celtel to Celtel calls its at a flat rate of 7.00 Shs and SMS 2.00 Shs all day and night.

Celtel to Safcom is a flat rate of 16 Shs a minute.

To migrate,dial *123#.

Whats your take.

This tariff is the bomb, why lie? The 3 prefered numbers make it even better. I have set my broker's number as one of the prefered numbers. As i get the live feed from eight & sk,i can also afford to call broker as many times as i want to get the latest info on my orders.

Recheck your math [Seles83]
Monday, January 28, 2008 09:47

The MHT  (average duration of phone call) of kenyans has improve dramatically, back in 2002 it was 15 secs and now it is 45 secs. This attributed mainly to reduction of calling charges and dependecy of mobile phone in our lives.

Recheck your math,if you include setup fee the tarrif is still cheap. Give credit where is due.

Why call when you can text for 2/ within celtel or 3.50/ to other networks? What does the other providers charge for text messages within & outside their networks? The beauty of pamoja is that you don't have to postpone communication till offpeak. Celtel is clearly on top of the game in both quality & pricing. Wacha porojo

Guys,Lets give Credit where its due!!I

I must give Celtel thumbs up!!! having been on the green side,I can truly tell you that

1. Celtel Network ROCKS.... I can reach and be reached bila all those dropped calls or klick klick blaf blaf nices. tuuuuuut and it connects!!!

2. This is the newest and cheapest tariff in Kenya right now.... and they are honest, coz they even talk about their Call Set up fee. Still a call per minute will cost me 6/50!!! Saf coms cheapest ratre in 8/00.....!!!!

3. Tha Ad is not bad you guy,I had a chance to watch it . You perceive it as two homos... shame on you... is that what your mind is made of ... ama your admiring those jamaas!!! Be REAL and look at the positive side.

4 Yes they need to do somethoing real quick to their website. The new Pamoja is not there.

5. You guys continue being there on the green side nad you be fleeced, and be given crap service, and then they will post anothe SUPER ABNORMAL PROFIT in the name of giving you better service!! I bet all of ya DO NOT EVEN KNOW YOUR TARIFF ON THE Green side.

Have you watched the TV ad for Pamoja?
What's with the 2 gay dudes and the lazy one playing with toes and at the end he asks "ati what has celtel done?"It's a stupid ad and that's where Celtel loses out, they come up with great products and ideas then they lose out in communication.

Celtel kenya's website is always a joke compared to tz or ug which have the latest info. This creates alot of congestion & delay to the customer care whenever they launch a new service because even those people who would have checked the info they require from the site usually end up calling the customer care number. If you check well, shukashuka tariff has also not been include even though it was launched some months back. The charges for gprs is indicated as shs20 per mb instead of shs10
outdated celtel website [Tembea]
Monday, January 14, 2008 12:38

their website has no details of the tariff long after it has been launched.

These guys must be joking.
i thought it was an information company?
Are they enticing us with missing info?
a company this magnitude.

I tried calling from my Safaricom on Friday and couldn't get thru. Shouldn't Safcom deal with this congestion issue before they start creating new tariffs that just create more congestion???!

Call celtel customer care [subzero]
Monday, January 14, 2008 08:23

@kanyoni.

There must be something you are doing wrong. i know several guys who have switched, with no problem. or if symptoms persist you can call their customer care. at least you are guaranteed to talk to someone. unlike safaricom which will never go through.

This thing is fcuked up when you try setting the prefered nos. I've been trying since fri. You send the 3 numbers to 427 then you get a reply that you must be in pamoja tarif in order to set the nos. as if you haven't switched already, aaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!
